

He was born in Oneonta, AL. He graduated from Hueytown High School. He then attended Jacksonville State University where he received a BS in Business. He was employed by State Farm as an agent for 40 years.
Bob was a longtime member of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church where he was a member of the choir, and at different times served the church as a trustee, a deacon, the Sunday School director, a RA leader, the budget committee chairman, a nominating committee chairman, the daycare chairman, and the pledge chairman.
His love of the community led him to serve as board, pledge, and budget chairman at YMCA Camp Cosby. He was also a YMCA board member. As a member of the Young Men’s Business Club, he served as President, Treasurer, membership chairman and Man of the Year Chairman. He was also a board member of the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and delivered meals for the Meals on Wheels organization. His love of sports led him to serve as a board member of the Birmingham Touchdown Club.
He was president of the Vestavia Hills Softball Association, through which he coached teams of all ages. He was also a head coach and offensive coordinator for several ASA softball teams which he led to several state championships.
But more than all of his accomplishments, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, caring father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend.
Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy, of twelve years; children Deanna Misner (Joshua), Meghan Larson (Mark), stepchildren T.J. Bryan (Kristen), and Katie Boyken (Scott), and 6 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother Gailia Daily; brother, Bill Daily, and sister, Teresa Butler (David). His father Travis Daily preceded him in death.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 18, 2013 from 10:00a.m.-12:00p.m. at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. Ceremony following at 12:00 noon.
