Bonnie was born and raised in the Rocky Ridge area of Birmingham. She forever cherished growing up in her tightknit family and community. Although marriage and career took her and her family to Sacramento, California, and then Lima, Montana, her heart never left Alabama or the South. She proudly retained her strong Southern accent her entire life. Bonnie loved to travel, often saying she must be a little bit of a “gypsy.” Her favorite vacations included anniversary trips with her husband, Loren, to various skiing destinations (he skied/she shopped) and girl trips to Gulf Shores or Grand Cayman with her sisters and other family members. She retired from Ford Motor Credit Company as a credit checker, and she was recognized as the resident expert skip tracer. Before writing off a default, management would say, “Give it to Bonnie to try first.” She loved country music, white wine, and visiting with family and friends. However, she was most devoted to her husband, children, parents and siblings, and long-time friends. She was grateful for the blessings God had given her, and she was always generous and tenderhearted to those in need. Her Bible shows it was well read and that she was especially touched by the promises of God’s love and salvation through faith in Jesus Christ.
