

Jeanne DeJarnette Barrow went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 11, 2016 after an extended illness. Jeanne had served faithfully in her church, Dawson Baptist Church, for over sixty years. She also enjoyed her work in the library at Samford University for several years. She was a member of the DAR and other groups, but most of all, she enjoyed being a wife and mother and later, a grandmother and great grandmother.
She is predeceased byher husband, Crawford Murray Barrow, her mother Ruby Wyatt DeJarnette, her father, Thomas Louis DeJarnette, Sr. and her brothers, Thomas Louis DeJarnette, Jr. and Hugh Malcolm DeJarnette.
She is survived by her daughter, Janie Lee Williamson, her son, Crawford Murray Barrow, Jr. (Susan), her grandsons, Paul Williamson, Hunter Barrow and Reed Barrow and step grandsons, Patrick Lunceford and Denton Lunceford (Mary). Other survivors include great grandchildren, Skylar Williamson, Devin Williamson, Hudson Barrow, Penelope Barrow, Philomena Barrow, and step great-grandchildren, William Lunceford, Sage Lunceford and Lydia Lunceford, as well as, her sister-in law, Norma DeJarnette, several special nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Jeanne will be missed and remembered for her faith and her many deeds of love and kindness.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood from 5 until 7 pm. A graveside service for family is scheduled later in the week at the cemetery in Jones, Alabama.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dawson Baptist Church or the Alzeimers Association.
