Dale E. Phillips

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dale E. Phillips, who passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at the age of 81. He was a devoted husband to Rose and a loving father to Alyssa and Chandra. Dale was known for his sense of humor and his love for computers and technology, the outdoors, and cats. He was a charter member of The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills, served in the US Army, and dedicated to his career as a computer professional.

Survivors include his wife Rose, daughters Alyssa, Chandra (spouse Chris) Shikle, Aunts Marjorie Roy, Martha Eddings, niece Laura Hatley Smith, and his 3 grandchildren, Christopher Jr., Cooper, and Callum. He was preceded in death by his father Dale Phillips, mother Lois Huey, stepfather Jim Huey, sister Linda Hatley, and Uncle Bob Heyl.

The family wishes to express their gratitude and sincere thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at UAB / Spain.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills, 201 South Montgomery Highway, Vestavia Hills.The service will also be live streamed on the church's website and Youtube channel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills.
