

Hassinger, Ms. Eleanor Blair, died on September 13, 2025. She was born July 13, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated with an A.A. degree from Bradford College, Bradford, Massachusetts and was a life-long resident of Mountain Brook, Alabama.
Ms. Hassinger was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Henry Hassinger, Jr. Her brother, William Henry Hassinger, III (La Donna) predeceased her. She is survived by her sister, Emily Hassinger McCall (Willard, Jr), and her brother Hinson Sibley Hassinger, of Birmingham, Alabama.
She was a member of the Junior League of Birmingham, the Linly Heflin Unit, the John Parke Custis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Mayflower Society, and was a lifelong member of St. Mary’s-On-The-Highlands Episcopal Church.
Ms. Hassinger is survived by two children: Henry Bedinger Rust, III of Rapid City, South Dakota and Adrienne Blair Burdette of Parker, Colorado. Her grandson, Nathaniel Raymond Wagner lives in Parker, Colorado.
Graveside services will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Friday, September 19th at 10:00am. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Birmingham Botanical Gardens or The Alzheimer’s Association.
Services are under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel (205.879.3401) in Homewood.
