Eunie Currie Doster

Eunie Currie Doster, 101, of Mountain Brook, passed away at home February 10, 2015. She is survived by daughters Eunie Healy and Billye Currie, grandchildren Bill McDavid, Eunie Abney, Vann Pendley, and Currie Barron, step-granddaughters Debbie Barnett, Dawn Lane, and Daria Story, great grandchildren Taylor, Morgan, and Riley Abney, Parker McDavid, and Catie and Alex Barron. Niece Miranda Parker Dixon.

Eunie graduated from Loulie Compton Seminary in 1932, attended Howard College from 1932-34 where she joined the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. She was awarded a ADPi scholarship to the University of Michigan and graduated in 1936. She was an active Baptist and taught Sunday School at Southside Baptist Church for 25 years before she moved her membership to Mountain Brook Baptist where she was a member of the Philathea Class. Her greatest desire was to promote missions until everyone on earth believed in Jesus.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, February 13, 11:00 AM at the graveside, Elmwood Cemetery.
