Foster Roy Treaster

Foster Roy Treaster passed away January 19, 2011. He was born in Alabama and lived all his life in the Birmingham area. He graduated from Fairfield High School and was a member of the Fairfield High School alumni association. He also attended several schools in connection with products he had sold. Roy was an accomplished manufacture’s rep in the hardware business and traveled in the Southeastern states for several companies, including Kelly Mfg for many years. An avid golfer, Roy was a charter member of Green Valley Country Club (now Hoover CC) and a continuous member for over 50 years. He coached little league baseball years ago and was a member of the Canterbury United Methodist Church. His parents, Foster Roy Sr and Ira Delle Treaster predeceased him. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Lillian Rutledge Treaster, his sister Fay Treaster Crocker, and 10 nieces and nephews. Services will be graveside at Elmwood Cemetery on Sunday, Jan. 23, at 2pm. Arrangements under the direction of Ridout's Valley Chapel, Homewood, AL.
