

He was born March 5, 1931 to Peggy Ard Taylor and Fred Henry Taylor, Sr. He graduated from Ramsey High School in Birmingham. He served in the Air Force and later graduated from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. He worked for Union Carbide and later became a self-employed financial advisor. He was a long-standing member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Elder. “Mr. Fed”, as he was affectionately known by his class, taught two year-olds in Sunday school for sixteen years.
Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents, Peggy and Fred Taylor, and his loving wife of fifty years, Carol Nelson Taylor. He is survived by his four children, Catheryne Taylor Tayloe (Graham), Cynthia Taylor Harsh (Carter), Fred Nelson Taylor (Paulina), and MaryAnne Taylor Moseneder (Siggy), and his younger sister MaryAnne Taylor Bradford (Tom). He is also survived by his eight loving grandchildren, Catheryne Kilpatrick Harsh, Carter Sibley Harsh, Jr., Taylor Milton Harsh, Graham Hammond Harsh, Isabella Chambers Taylor, Zachary Nelson Taylor (Birmingham), Amelia Anne Catheryne Moseneder and Addison Rose Moseneder (Denver, Colorado), all of whom called him “Dandy”. Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins will also miss him greatly.
A celebration service with be held at Briarwood Presbyterian Church Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at 1:30 pm with visitation following in the church foyer.
