Burton, Gene Kenneth, 87, of Homewood, passed away on February 17, 2014 at his home. He is predeceased by his parents Earl Burton and Norma Rathbone Burton of Miami, Oklahoma. He was a faithful member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
Gene is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Annie Laura Page Burton, children Michael Burton (Diane), Gail Gough (Charles), Loretta Strouss (Bill) and Keith Burton (Vicki), grandchildren, Dawn Romano (Clay), Krista Schull (Adam), Ashley Dyer, Melissa Gough, Lauren, Cameron and Erin Strouss, Noah Burton, great grandchildren Hays, Cole, Elly Scot and Cruz Romano, Addi and Josiah Dyer.
Visitation will be on February 20th from 12 noon until 2 p.m. with the service following at 2:00 p.m. at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in memory of Gene Burton may be made to the Homewood High School Band Uniforms.
