Geraldine Dunham

She was born in Micro, N.C. to Charles Wade and Pearl Wellons Pearce. She graduated from The University of North Carolina in Greensboro, N.C.(W.C.U.N.C.) She married Donnell Paul Dunham from Salisbury, N.C. who preceded her in death.

She is survived by 3 children: Dale Pearce Dunham, Denise D. Richards (Thomas) and Charles Paul Dunham (Angela) and 5 grandsons: John Paul Richards, Wills Craven Dunham, Pearce Hopping Dunham. Craven Powers Dunham and Quentin James Dunham.

She taught school in 3 states (Virginia, North and South Carolina) before moving with her husband to Birmingham, Al to start a business. She was active in many civic and professional organizations but was most proud of VENTURES, an Investment club for women that she co-founded and presided over for 30 years.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 23rd at 10am with a Funeral Service to follow at 11am at

Canterbury Methodist Church Chapel 350 Overbrook Road, Birmingham, AL 35213.
