Harriet H. Davis

Harriet H. Davis, 91, of Inverness passed away on January 22, 2025. Born and raised in the Homewood/ Edgewood area, Harriet was a longtime member of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church, who read her devotional every morning and was a devout christian lady. She was one of the first babies to ever be in the nursery at Dawson. A graduate of Shades Valley High School, Harriet was actively involved in helping with gatherings and reunions. She attended Auburn University and was a die hard Auburn fan. She enjoyed attending many games and events there. An avid bridge player, she belonged to many clubs in the area. She also worked at Glenwood School for Autism for many years helping many children throughout her career. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who loved with all her heart. She loved her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with her entire family whenever possible.

The family would like to express a very special thank you to her sitters, Shawn and Karen, and especially Dee Jordan, who took such wonderful care of Harriet, right up to the end. Harriet loved them all like family.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Donald Scott Davis, amd her daughter in law, Jan Davis. She is survived by her sons, Paul Davis(Margarita) and Phillip Davis. One daughter, Janice D. Pauls. Four grandchildren, Andre, Kayte, Kacey Ann and Taylor Elizabeth.She also had six great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Monday January 27, 2025 at Ridout's Valley Chapel at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery
