Henry was an avid runner, completing four marathons over the course of his life. His mornings were often spent with his cherished running group, the Fighting Armadillos or at coffee with his weekly Bible study, affectionately known as "The Cholesterol Club." In addition to his passion for running, Henry spent his summers at Ahmic Lake, where he found peace and joy in nature. Henry was noted for his adventurous spirit, his joy in living, his quick wit and his service to others. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great friend, who lived a life of joy and integrity, rooted in faith in Christ. He will be missed by all of those who knew and loved him.
Henry's leadership and dedication to his community were evident in both his work and personal life. A lifelong Episcopalian, he served on the Vestry and as Senior Warden of the Cathedral Church of the Advent. Socially he was a member of Mountain Brook Club and The Redstone Club.
The family wishes to thank all the caregivers and especially Venus, Regina, and Grace for their wonderful service to him in his last years.
