Mr. Larkin was a graduate of Auburn University in 1950 and he also served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the lumber, trucking and real estate business. Mr. Larkin was an active member of Dawson memorial Baptist Church. His hobbies included photography and model airplanes.
Mr. Larkin was preceded in death by his parents James Satterthwaite Larkin and Lillian Sibley Larkin; his wife Luedean Larkin. He is survived by his daughters: Marilyn “Lyn” S. Larkin Norbery, Mary L. Larkin, PHD and Nancy Larkin Kasper; his step-son Burt Watson; his grandchildren: Angela Kitchen, Chris Caron, David S. Norbery, Sara Krause and Terry Kasper, Emily Watson and Lilly Watson; 7 great grandchildren. Also left to treasure his memory is his sister Mary Katherine Larkin Stringfellow; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30th from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 2:00 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood.
