"Bo" John P. Strickland of Pelham, went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2016. Mr. Strickland was a loyal and active member of the Gospel Light Church in Helena. He served his country as a staff sergeant in the United States Air Force Reserves and Air National Guard and served in France in the 1960's. Mr. Strickland was a retired cabinet builder and longtime resident of Cahaba Heights, AL. Mr. Strickland is survived by a son, daughter, step-daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a number of other family and friends. A time of visitation will be Tuesday Oct. 25th from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at a Gospel Light Church, 5781 Roy Drive, Helena, AL. A funeral service will follow on Tuesday, at 1:00 p.m. at Gospel Light Church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that donations be made to Gospel Light Baptist Church.
