John J. Perri

Age 77 of Vestavia Hills, passed away on July 29, 2012, with his loving, devoted wife, Trish, of 53 years at his bedside.

He was born September 11, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York to the late John Vincent and Josephine DePaulo Perri. He graduated from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, New York in 1956. John enjoyed a career as a CPA that led him from New York to Seaford, DE, Oklahoma City, OK and finally to Birmingham, AL for a 24 year career as the Controller at Marshall Durbin Companies.

John is survived by his wife, Trish, and their children John (Dallas, TX), Mike, and his wife, Cathy (Oklahoma City, OK), Lisa Williams, and her husband, Richie (Atlanta, GA), Tom, and his wife, Nicole (Birmingham, AL), and Tricia Mixon, and her husband Chris (Atlanta, GA). He is also survived by six grandchildren, Leigh Ann Perri, Davis Perri, Anne Marie Perri, Elizabeth Perri, Carter Mixon and Perri Mixon. He is further survived by many loving relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved oldest daughter, Terri Perri.

Funeral services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Birmingham, AL on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The Rev. Bob Sullivan, pastor, will officiate. Relatives and friends are welcome at St. Francis at 10:00 a.m. for visitation. Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the Family requests donations be made to either St. Francis Xavier Church in Birmingham or a charity of your choice.

The Family would like to thank all who provided comfort and care to John in his final days, especially Valoree Stanley with Hospice Services of Alabama.
