

John ML Perry passed away the night of February 12, 2016. Kind, bright, and independent spirited, he was taken much too soon. His gentle nature was most evident through his love of animals and those less fortunate. A music enthusiast, John loved spending hours playing his guitar. A multi-sport athlete in high school, he enjoyed the game and being involved in the spirit of competition. He graduated from Mtn Brook High School in 2004, and most recently called Fort Collins, CO home.
John was preceded in death by his grandfathers: Rev. Robert U. Ferguson Sr.,and Mr. Henry H. Perry, and his father, Dr. Henry Alan Perry. He is survived by his grandmothers, Mrs. Lenora Perry (Baldwin, Georgia) and Mrs. Mary Ferguson (Watkinsville, Georgia); his mother and stepfather, Dr. Susan Ferguson Bradley and Mr. Stan Bradley (Birmingham, Ala); his siblings: Jeremiah Alexander Burnette Perry (Erin) with son, Carver Alan Perry in North Bend, Washington; Evelyn Teal Perry Cuellar (Christian) with daughters, Micaela Solar Cuellar and Briana Evelyn Cuellar, sons Andres Cuellar and Santiago Cuellar in Cochabamba, Bolivia; Henry A. Perry, Jr., (Athens, Georgia), Brian Grant Perry and Lenora Perry(Key West, Florida). He is also mourned by numerous aunts, uncles and relatives of the Ferguson and Perry families.
Memorial services for John will be held at St. Mary’s-on-the-Highlands Episcopal Church, 1910 12th Avenue South, Birmingham on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00p.m. with a reception to follow in Randolph Hall.
The family requests no flowers but donations be made to the Birmingham Humane Society, Shelby County Humane Society, or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) in memory of John Perry.
