Joseph “Joe” Bart Cummings, age 54, passed away comfortably at his home in Hoover, Alabama on May 10, 2015. He was surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born on July 28, 1960 in Birmingham, AL, to Carl and Rena Cummings.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Susan, his two children, Hayley and Joseph, and his beloved dogs, Bo and Toby. He is preceded in death by his father, Carl Cummings, and survived by his mother, Rena Cummings. He is also survived by his brothers David (Debbie) and Paul (Judie), his mother-in-law Shirley Davis, his sister-in-law Linda (Jon), nieces and nephews, and numerous friends.
Services will be held in Homewood, AL at Ridout’s Valley Chapel. The visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. with the memorial service starting promptly at 3:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the American Cancer Society.
In true “Joe fashion”, please dress casually.
