Kenneth "Mickey" Osborn

August 1, 1942 – July 20, 2025

Kenneth Michael Osborn, lovingly known as Mickey, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 20, 2025, just days before his 83rd birthday.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stewart and Myrtle Osborn; his sister, Kathryn Vinsant; and his brother, Gary Osborn (Millie). He leaves behind his beloved wife of 53 years, Paula Tubbs Osborn, who stood faithfully by his side through every season of life.

Mickey attended Ensley High School, then transferred to Marion Military Institute, where he was a proud member of the prestigious White Knights. He later graduated from the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Delta Chi fraternity and a lifelong, die-hard Alabama Crimson Tide fan. “Roll Tide” wasn’t just a phrase to Mickey—it was a way of life.

He never met a roof he couldn’t fix or a person he wouldn’t help. As the hardworking owner of Osborn Roofing, Mickey poured his heart and soul into his work, earning the trust and admiration of his clients and community.

Though Alzheimer’s gradually took pieces of him over the years, Mickey never once complained. His quiet strength, unwavering humility, and deep love for his family remained constant. He was a father figure, a role model, and a steady presence in the lives of all who were lucky enough to know him.

Mickey was the embodiment of kindness—gentle, warm-hearted, and wise. Though soft-spoken, his personality was full of life, humor, and grace. A devoted husband, uncle, and friend, he made an unforgettable impact on everyone around him.

He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews—each of whom adored him deeply and carry his memory with love.

He is now reunited with his parents, siblings, and other loved ones, and his mind and body are finally at peace.

A celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, August 3rd at 2:00 PM at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood, Alabama. Visitation will take place from 1:00 to 2:00 PM, with additional time for visiting immediately following the service.
