Leland Bardwell Arnold

Leland B. Arnold, 89, of Vestavia Hills, AL, passed away August 12,2016. Graduate of Meridian High School, Meridian, MS. Served in the United States Army. Graduated from GA Tech with a BS and MCE in Civil Engineering Charter Member of Southminister Presbyterian Church where he served as a Deacon, Elder, Chairman of the Property Committee and the "Keeper of Keys". Charter Member of Vestavia Hills Civitan. He worked at Conner Steel and Rust International.. He was also very active in Hilltoppers and loved to travel. Mr. Arnold is preceded in death by his son, Lee Arnold. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Ann S. Arnold. Daughter Diann A. Harris, Son Herbert L. Arnold (Lynne), Grandchildren Breane A.Trest (John), Megan H. Medearis (Brent), Erin Harris (Jenna), Austin Arnold, Chandler Arnold, Patrick Arnold and Anna Arnold and 7 Great Grandchildren. A memorial service for Mr. Arnold will be Wednesday, August 17 at 2 pm at Southminister Presbyterian Church Family burial will be at Alabama National Cemetery In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that donations be made to Southminister Presbyterian Church.
