Louie L. Love

Louie Lavelle Love died on August 30, 2013. He was born in Waynesboro, MS in 1925. He was preceded in death by his parents and his first wife of 25 years, Freda Baker Love. Surviving are his wife, Claire Early Love, his children , son Robert Lee Love (Jane), son Thomas Baker Love and daughter Jean Love Price and sister Kathyrn Stevenson. Also surviving are his step children, David Massey Martin (Carolyne) and Linda Martin Stewart, ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

He graduated from Louisiana State University in Mechanical Engineering after serving with the 99th Infantry Division in World War II in Europe. He was employed by United States Steel Corp. Raw Materials for 35 years. He was District Mechanical and Electrical Engineer when he retired.

He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Fellowship Class He served as treasurer for 13 years until the class disbanded in December , 2010.

The funereal service for Mr. Love will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at Trinity United Methodist Church with family burial to take place at Elmwood Cemetery. A time of visitation will be Tuesday, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Ridout's Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church.
