Mary Lucille McWhirter Johnson, born December 23, 1927, in Birmingham, AL, died at home December 18, 2015. Lucille attended Ponce de Leon High School and the University of Miami in Miami, FL. Birmingham has been her home for 51 years. She retired from Baptist Medical Center – Montclair after 21 years of service as Administrative Assistant to the CFO.
Lucille is survived by her husband of 67 years, Creighton E. ("Bud") Johnson; 3 daughters: Judy (Mike) Mason (Birmingham), Nancy ("Poli") Polidoro Hughes (Nashville, TN), and Janice (David) Gray (Hilton Head, SC); 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Lucille's life will be held at Mountain Brook Baptist Church Monday, December 21, 2015, at 1:00pm.
