

Paige LeClay Stagner, III, 56, of Homewood passed away Sunday Oct. 7, 2012 at his residence. Paige was born June 13, 1956 in Huntsville, AL. He received his BS and MBA at the University of Alabama. An avid fan of Alabama football, he established an endowed athletic scholarship in memory of his son, Paige LeClay Stagner, IV. Paige helped children and adults as a tutor for many years. His love of children led him to work with the Childrens Choir and Boy Scouts at his church. He was preceded in death by his son, Paige LeClay Stagner, IV. He is survived by his wife, Rita Armitage, his parents Paige and Norma Stagner, his sisters Jennifer Bentley and her husband Paul, Anne Young and her husband Frank, Terri Collier and her husband Chris. His nieces include Katherine Paige Veren, her husband Daniel, Megan Crawford, Rebecca and Sarah Young, and Nellie Collier. His nephews include Robert Crawford, his wife Laura, Steven and Keith Bentley, Frank Young, and Reid Collier. His great nieces and nephew are Paige and Claire Veren and Mark Crawford. Memorial services will be 10:30 am, Friday October 12, 2012 at Shades Valley Lutheran Church with Pastor Daniel Dahl officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 am prior to the service at the church. Graveside services will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Huntsville, AL at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shades Valley Lutheran Childrens Choir, 720 Shades Creek Parkway, Homewood, AL 35209.
