Pamela Ann Drake Barefield, age 65 of Vestavia Hills, passed away at home on January 24, 2017 of pancreatic cancer. She was born in Dolomite, AL to the late W.T. and Mary Elizabeth Drake on October 4, 1951. Pam was a cheerleader at Hueytown High School and graduated in 1970. Pam was employed at AmSouth Bank where she retired as Vice-President of Trust Operations after 37 years.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 40 years Frank Barefield; son John Barefield; daughter Lauren Barefield Crooks (Kevin); grandchildren: Easton Thomas Crooks and Evelyn Ann Crooks; sisters Carolyn Alexander, Judy Brigman (Ronnie); brother Rodney Drake (Tracey) and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 27th beginning at 11:00am until 1:00 pm with the memorial service following at 1:00 pm at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood.
