He attended Mountain Brook High School and was a member of the 1975 Football State Championship team. He also attended the University of Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his father William L. Mason, his mother Jean L. Mason and his brother, Billy Mason.
Pip married his high school sweetheart, Linda, in 1984 and they had one son, Allan Mason. He loved to cook, read about history, and was an avid sports fan, especially Alabama football!
Pip is survived by his wife, Linda; his son Allan and daughter-in-law Jordan; and two beautiful grandchildren that were his whole world, Rowan and Marlow.
A visitation will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel, located at 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, Alabama, 35209, on February 4, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
A memorial service will follow at the same location, beginning at 11:00 am on February 4, 2026.
