

Randy Galbraith, of Homewood, passed away on Monday evening, the 8th of March 2021. He was 65 years of age. Born in Michigan on May 11, 1955, he was the son of Robert F. Galbraith and Shirley Reed Galbraith.
Randy served as a supervisor at U.S. Pipe and Foundry Company. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family and friends with all his being. He loved all things Auburn, his music, sports, and Red Solo Cups. For all who knew him you will understand, “It’s a great day to be Randy!”
He is survived by his wife, Stacie Gurak Galbraith; two sons, Jake Galbraith (Lindsey) and Stan Galbraith (Ashley); his daughter, Carly Galbraith Derencz (Alex); and by his grandchildren, John Morris Galbraith, Sam Galbraith, Triston Moore, Conner Moore, Thomas Galbraith, Landon Galbraith, and Everly Galbraith. Randy is also survived by his two brothers, Donny Galbraith and Scott Galbraith (Bethany).
Friends are cordially invited to the visitation with the family on Friday, the 12th of March, from five o’clock in the afternoon until seven o’clock in the evening at Ridout’s Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Road in Homewood. In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials honoring the life of Randy Galbraith may be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org. Services are under the direction of Ridout’s Valley Chapel (205-879-3401) in Homewood.
