Rita Linn Alderson

Rita was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic church for many years. She was the proudest graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School. As a legal secretary she worked for Hare, Wynn, Newell, Newton Attorneys and was a judicial assistant for multiple judges in Jefferson County until her retirement.

Rita was preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Annie Mary Linn, her husband Richard Alderson, her brother Richard Linn and her sisters Mary Lind and Paula Pope. She is survived by her children: Vickie Battles (Danny+), Ree Crocker (Mark), Jenny Gurley (Steve) and Richard Alderson (Lundi) and her sisters: Mittie McNally, Pat Doss, Theresa Kirnbauer and Margie Starkey Also left to treasure her memory are her 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life with visitation will be on Saturday, March 9th at 12:00 p.m. with the Mass at 1:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2 Xavier Circle, Birmingham, AL

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to John Carroll Catholic High School.
