Robert L Hilton

Robert L. Hilton, age 86, of Birmingham, Alabama died peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Bob served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He retired as the Senior Vice President of the National Council on Compensation Insurance, having worked there over 40 years. Bob was an enthusiastic golfer and honored member of the Birmingham Golf Association Hall of Fame and served as a President of the then Green Valley Country Club (now Hoover Country Club). He was the first elected President of Greystone Golf and Country Club. He also served on the Board of Directors of American Equity Investment Life Holding Co.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia Ann Hilton and his dedicated children Michael Clark Hilton (Amy), Lee Ann Patricia Hilton, and Sandra Hilton Brown (Jack); 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was an avid Alabama fan and loved the words “Roll Tide”.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Brook Baptist Church with visitation following the service in Hudson Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
