Rollin Davis Osgood III

Davis attended Crestline elementary school. He attended Highlands Day School from fourth through sixth grades. Afterwards, he attended Mt. Brook Junior High and Mt. Brook High School, graduating in 1972. He obtained an associate’s degree from Jefferson State Community College in Business. He also attended Auburn University for further studies.

Davis enjoyed water skiing and fishing. He was able to water ski barefoot. He was a “foodie”. He enjoyed cooking so much he worked as a cook in several upscale restaurants around Birmingham, including La Paris downtown.

Davis moved to Tampa Florida in the 1980s where he continued working as a cook. In 1986 he began his career as an Office Supply delivery driver for Pittman Office Supply. He worked there until he returned to Birmingham in 2003 to care for his dad after his mother passed. His dad passed away in 2018.

Davis passed away May 29 2025 at the age of 71 after a yearlong battle with lung cancer. Davis was an only child, the son of two only children. He never married nor had children but he leaves behind good friends from Birmingham, AL to Tampa, FL to England and France.

A memorial service was held on June 21, 2025 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood, AL.
