Ruth B Lange

Sept. 29, 1922 - April 24, 2015 Ruth Bragg Lange, 92, of Birmingham, AL went home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 24, 2015. She was born September 29, 1922, in Pinehurst, Georgia. Ruth was the daughter of Dr. Taylor Ansel Bragg and Nettie Sue Simmons Bragg. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by her beloved husband of seventy-one years, Harry Martin Lange, two sons, Harry Martin Lange, Jr. and his wife Debbie, and David Ansel Lange of Birmingham. She is also survived by her daughter, Annette Lange Mill and her husband Ricky of Raleigh, North Carolina. Ruth was "Mamee", a fun and loving grandmother to Matthew Harris Lange (DeDe) and Andrew Martin Lange (Carol) of Birmingham; and Boone Benjamin Mill (Lila), Allison Marie Mill, and Rebecca Ruth Mill of Raleigh, North Carolina; and great grandmother to seven. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn Bragg and Mrs. Charlyne Bragg and by many loving nieces and nephews. Motivated by her deep faith and love for her Savior, Ruth delighted in serving her family and friends, her church and her community. She was a member of Lake Crest Presbyterian Church and a former member of Briarwood Presbyterian Church. The family wishes to express their love and appreciation to Ruth's loving caregivers, Karen Ashe, Cynthia Hill, Donna Lott, Clara Moore, Donna Nemeth, Lisa Smith, Joyce Williams, and Karen Wood; and also to Comfort Care Hospice. Her memorial service will be held at Ridout's Valley Chapel on April 26, 2015, at 3:00 pm, with a visitation at 2:00 pm. A family graveside service will be at the National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL on April 28.
