

Victor Joseph DeJohn Jr. (Vic) of Hoover, Alabama age 74 born September 18, 1943 passed away Monday, November 6, 2017 surrounded by his loved ones. Vic was a sales rep for Central Paper Company for the past 35 years winning numerous sales achievements. Vic served in the Army National Guard, he was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, Red Elephant Club, The Club and an avid Alabama Football Fan. His hobbies included gardening and hunting. He is predeceased by his parents Victor Joseph DeJohn, Sr. and Mary Guzetta Boyd.. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Marianne Ardovino DeJohn, son Victor Joseph DeJohn,III (Melanie), daughter Leslie Melton (Eric), his beloved granddaughter Sydney Marie DeJohn, Brothers-in-law Morris Princiotta, Charles Ardovino, Joseph Schillaci, Sisters-in-law Mary Elizabeth Ardovino and Ethel Schillaci, numerous special nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces, cousins John DeJohn, Mike DeJohn and Ann Miller of Panama City, FL.
Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood, Alabama Thursday November 9, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Father Wilfred Emeh officiating. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Ridout’s Valley Chapel Homewood, AL. officiating. Pallbearers Louis Ardovino, Joseph Schillaci, Jr., Charles Ardovino, Stephen Ardovino, John Anselmo and Harry Canter.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Ross family of Central Paper Company, the nursing staffs of UAB and St Vincent’s Hospital’s Hematology/Oncology Department and Oasis Health Care hospice provider.
