Virginia Anne Jacka Durst (Ginny) was reunited with her beloved husband Brian Edward Durst on June 5, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband and mother Nancy Kingston Jacka. Born December 20, 1962 to Nancy Kingston Jacka and William Marmaduke Jacka, Sr. in Royal Oak, Michigan. Ginny grew up in Birmingham and attended Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and School, John Carroll Catholic High School and Jacksonville State University. She married Brian and moved to Dallas and Houston, Texas and eventually to Alpharetta, Georgia, making many life long friends along her the way back to Birmingham. She worked as a mortgage broker through those years. After Brian's death she moved back to Birmingham where she could be with her family, 'her kids'-'her babies' and many friends. She loved time with family and friends either in person or through social media most especially FaceBook in particular assisting as an online social media administrator of a grief group. Aunt Ginny was like a mother to all of her nephews and nieces and her great nieces and nephew. She was the 'cool mom'. She will always be remembered for her loving get togethers with all of 'her kids'. She poured her love upon on all 'her kids'-from pool parties, to beach and fishing trips. She and all 'her kids' loved to be together. She shared her time at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in their after school homework and Reading Program where another 'bunch of kids' benefited from her love. She also enjoyed preparing and serving meals at the First Light Women's Shelter. She left all of us so unexpectedly and too soon. She is survived by her father William Marmaduke Jacka, Sr.(Virginia), her sister Katherine Ann Parker(Geoff) of Birmingham, her sister Mary Margaret Hall (Joe) of Birmingham, and her brother William Marmaduke Jacka, Jr. (Leigh) of Birmingham, her nephews and nieces: Geoffrey Kingston Parker (Amanda), Margaret Elizabeth (Megan) Parker Meadows (William), William Hollis Parker, Nancy Kingston Hall, Elizabeth Anne Hall, William 'Trey' Marmaduke Jacka, III, Claire Elise Jacka and her great nephew and nieces Jacob Andrew Meadows, Emma Katherine Meadows and Nora Claire Meadows all of Birmingham.
