Wallace Connell Williams

Wallace C. Williams, 87, of Birmingham, Alabama passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on September 1, 2018. Wallace was blessed with 64 years of marriage to Dorothy Breen Williams, having met at Vanderbilt University in their hometown of Nashville, Tennessee. Wallace and Dorothy have five children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. A gifted engineer, an avid woodworker and a fine outdoorsman, Wallace eagerly shared his talents among his family and many friends. He loved his family deeply and lifted the spirits of all who knew him. He is survived by Dorothy, his brother Allen (Laurale), his children Mark (Sandi), Wallace (Adele), David (Gina), Stephanie (Quinton), Michael (Cathy) and their children and grandchildren. Wallace’s brother-in-law Father Joseph P. Breen will be joined by Father Thomas M. Kelly in celebrating the Mass of the Resurrection for Wallace at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Hoover, AL, with visitation at 11:00 and Mass at 12:00 on September 4. A prayer service will follow in Nashville, Tennessee at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home at 10:00 on September 5. ‘In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to either the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church Car Ministry or St. Peter’s Catholic Church Collections for the Poor'.
