

Wanda Farris Gentle passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on February 21, 2022 at the age of 86. Wanda was an amazing Mother, Grandmother and businesswoman. She was faithful in all things and trusted God with her life. Her spiritual impact on others is without measure. She was diligent and looked well to the ways of her household. Wanda's real estate career spanned three decades culminating as a member of the original Greystone sales team from inception until full development. She was very proud of her role there and made many friends in the business.
Wanda was the daughter of Truitt and Myra Farris and grew up in Alabaster, Alabama and graduated from Montevallo High School and attended Baylor University. She made her home in Vestavia Hills for over thirty years.
She is survived by her children and their spouses: Derek (Sheila) Gentle, Scot (Cathy) Gentle, Jan (David) Caradine, Shawn (Jennifer) Gentle, twelve grandchildren; Micah(Kristen) Gentle, Hannah (Edwin) Attaway, Elisha Gentle, Ezra (Amanda) Gentle, Ezekiel Gentle, Jeremiah Gentle, Katie (Luke) Bailey, Hamp Briley, Mivi Briley, Caroline Gentle, Harrison Gentle and Ameila Gentle and six great grandchildren and her Sister Gail Farris Ryan of Ft. Worth Texas.
The family is grateful for Lakeside Hospice for the wonderful care they provided: Tracy, Jo, Leigh Ann and Lynn. A blessing beyond measure were Wanda's caregivers who provided loving care to her; Tameisha Jenkins, Stephanie Harper, Adria Rogers, Cheyenne Screws, Mildred Johnson and Pat Hallman.

Wanda's celebration of life will be held Thursday, February 24, 2022 at her church Briarwood Presbyterian in the chapel at 1:00 with visitation beginning at 12:00.
