William Buell Eidson

William "Buell" Eidson was born March 21, 1918 –and went home to be with the Lord March 8, 2014 at the age of 95. Mr. Eidson was born and raised in Cullman, Alabama moved to Birmingham, Alabama in his twenties, he served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 during World War II. He was a loving and devoted husband and father. One of his proudest achievements was the founding and start-up of Vestavia Hills Baptist Church. President of Eidson Produce Company located old farmers market 2nd Ave North and then Birmingham farmers market Finley Avenue. Later merged with Tom Dekle to form Eidson-Dekel Foods Inc. Served on the board of United Fresh Fruits and Vegetables. Loved being a member of Vestavia Country Club and all his rounds of golf with friends. May God take you by the hand on your journey once again to find the Woman. Mr. Eidson was preceded in death by his wife Kathryn S. Eidson ( January 20, 2010) and his sisters, Doris Aderhold, Aileen Eidson and Geraldine Carter He is survived by his son, Wayne Eidson and wife Terri, Granddaughter: Whitney Dunaway and Great Grandson: Braxton Dunaway as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Eidson will be Wednesday, March 12,2014 at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church from 11:30-1:00 and the funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church .
