Bernhard A. Schmidt, age 79, formerly of Chillicothe, IL., passed away January 13, 2012. He retired from Caterpillar and made his home, with his wife Maria, in Homosassa, FL. Also surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Karrick of Chillicothe, IL. and Johanna (Robert) Wheeler of Pekin, IL., Four grandchildren, Desirae (Melvin) Griffin, Joshua Karrick, Michael Wheeler and Megan Wheeler; two great grandchildren, Devin and Maxine Griffin and a sister Christa Beckert living in Germany.
