Carl J. Moore, 85, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL. A native of Morganfield, KY, Carl was born June 19, 1933 to Henry and Edna (Below) Moore, one of five children. Carl was a retired marketing executive in the electrical products industry and was a parishioner of St. Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church of Homosassa, where he was a long serving member of their choir. Mr. Moore was also a member of Knights of Columbus Council #15154 and the St. Vincent De Paul Society. He was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School, Oak Ridge Tennessee and attended the University of Tennessee. Carl was a former avid golfer and tennis player and always a Tennessee Vols fan. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and a friend to all, he was preceded in death by his son Stephen and brothers Cecil and Fred Moore and sister Henrietta Smith. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 67 years, Patsy Brewer Moore, whom he married on June 21, 1952; son Scott and his wife Lissa; daughter Carla Karn and her husband Ned; sister Irene Panerites and her husband George; grandchildren Jeremy Moore and his wife Tonia; Chris Moore; Stephanie Grizzle and her husband Jeremy; Nathan Karn and his wife April; Nicole Cohron and her husband Bradley; great grandchildren Christina, Alyssa and Joshua Grizzle; Thomas and Samantha Rose Moore; Caitlyn and Samantha Grace Karn and Abigail Cohron and many nieces and nephews. In keeping with Carl’s wishes after cremation, a memorial funeral mass will be celebrated from St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Homosassa, FL on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 10:00 A.M.
