Charles Martin Sanders, 98 of Homosassa, FL died Sat., Jan. 15, 2011 at Cypress Cove Care Center in Crystal River, FL. Born Sept. 10, 1912 in Chambers, AL, son of the late Walton L. and Mattie M. (Maley) Sanders, He moved to Homosassa from Tallahassee, Fl in 1979. Charles was an Engineer with the U S Dept. of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Division with 30 years of service and then with the Florida Dept. of Natural Resources, Water Management Division. He was a Baptist and served our Country as a Captain with the Army during WWII.
He was a devoted husband and father. Charles was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Sanders; sisters Mary Pope Smith and Mildred Williamson.
He is survived by his sons Charles M. (Linda) Sanders of Auburn, AL, H. Ronald (Susan) Sanders of Paso Robles, CA and J. Larry (Kelista) Sanders of Stroudsburg, PA; daughter Marilee S. McIntyre of Crystal River, FL; 9 grand and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
