Cheryl and Keith Brooks

Cheryl and Keith Brooks, both of Homosassa and both 71 years of age upon their passing; Cheryl on June 12, 2025 and Keith on March 3, 2026. They lived on the same land in Homosassa for 33 years; Keith moving here from Fort Worth, TX and Cheryl moving here from Louisiana prior to meeting Keith. Cheryl was a lifelong loving homemaker and Keith was the owner and operator of Brooks Splicing, Inc. Although neither was a member of any church, Keith and Cheryl were both believers of God in their own way. As a lover of music, Keith was an accomplished musician in the organ, piano and drums. Cheryl loved gardening and fishing. Keith and Cheryl loved spending time together with their friends and perhaps enjoying a beer or two. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Doris (Bickham) Brooks and a granddaughter, Genevieve. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Carolyn (Church) Throckmorton, and her daughter Christi. Keith is survived by children Keith Brooks, Jr. of Arizona; Shawn, Jesse and James Brooks, all of Homosassa and Amy Savunen of New York; grandchildren Caleb and Kolton Brooks, both of Homosassa; Violet Brooks of Inverness and Eveiina and Chase Savunen, both of New York. Keith is also survived by siblings Steven Brooks and Susan Brooks Green; Cheryl is survived by siblings Bruce Throckmorton and Meila Throckmorton Vandivier.
