

Daniel F Williams “Tommy”, 90, of Homosassa, FL, went to be with the Lord, August 14th, 2024. Tommy was born to Harley and Victory Williams on September 11, 1933 in Homosassa. After his mother’s passing at a young age, Tommy and his 4 Brothers Floyd, Alec, Raymond and Marvin who preceded him in death were raised by their Dad, Harley and his brother who they fondly remembered as Uncle Runt, who has been the subject of many stories told over the years. After graduating from Crystal River High school, Tommy enlisted in the Marine Corps and served as a MP until his honorable discharge in 1961. After the Marine Corp He served as Lt. Commander of the Florida Conservation Patrol in Tallahassee. He later returned to Crystal River and Retired from the Florida Marine Patrol as Major over District 3. Tommy was married to Margaret P Hobbs, his loving wife of 45 Years until her passing in 1999. After retiring, he loved being on the river fishing and was a member of the Homosassa Guides Association, known as Captain Tommy. He enjoyed the hospitality business and over the years owned and operated “The Old Oyster Bar”Restaurant, “Sheraton Inn and Riverhouse Restaurant” and for the past 24 years “Pecks Old Port Cove”.
He loved the Lord and was a faithful member and Deacon at Christian Center Church in Homosassa, Fl.
He is survived by his wife Maryann Quinn Williams, and his Daughters, Cindy Walker & Windy Meiman, Son, Daniel F. Williams Jr. & wife Dianne, & Daughter Sandra Sonberg and Husband Tim. Seven Grandchildren, fourteen Great Grandchildren and one Great Great Grandson, who lovingly call him their D-Dad.
Services will be held at Christian Center Church at 7961 W Green Acres St, Homosassa. Visitation for Family and Friends will be from 1:00-2:00 with the Memorial Service starting at 2:00 on Saturday August 24, 2024. Interment to follow at Stage Stand Cemetery with Military Honors. Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home will be assisting with arrangements. Any floral arrangements can be sent to Christian Center Church.
