David Honderich, 75, of Homosassa, FL (Sugarmill Woods), passed away Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL. He came to this area from Miami about seven years ago and was a principal in CHM Structural Engineers in Miami for many years specializing in high rise buildings. He graduated from Ft. Lauderdale High School and attended University of Florida. Survivors include Faye, his wife of 52 years; sister Joan of Alexandria, VA; nieces Mary Honderich of Maryland; Cathy Waller of Largo, FL; Nancy Dietrich of Tarpon Springs, FL; and Julia Mote and Laura Wilcher, who grew up in his home, both of Blairsville, GA. He was also known as Papa Dave to Craig Wilcher of Blairsville, GA. A memorial service will be held on Sat., Sept. 7, 2013 at First United Methodist Church of Homosassa, 8831 W. Bradshaw Street, Homosassa, FL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Serendipity Men's Group of First United Methodist Church of Homosassa or Hospice of Citrus County.
