Eddie W. Herrin, 82, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Fri., April 2, 2021 at Citrus Memorial Hospital, Inverness, FL. A native of Pell City, AL, he was born June 5, 1938 to Oscar and Ora (Williamson) Herrin, one of two children. Eddie’s working career held two roles; he was a retired steel worker for LTV Steel in Chicago, IL and then held a position as a maintenance employee for Citrus Memorial Hospital. Mr. Herrin was a sports lover, excelled in baseball as a younger man, and was a Die Hard Chicago Cubs Fan. He moved here in 1999 from Hammond, IN with his beloved wife of 55 years, Linda G. (Kibble) Herrin, who survives him. Eddie was a faithful and devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Homosassa Springs and along with his wife Linda, is survived by his five children: Darryl W. Herrin (wife Tammy), Michael P. Herrin (wife Theresa) and Lisa Breeden (husband Robert), all of Homosassa, FL; Kim Geary (husband Steve), Weeki Wachee, FL and Sandy Pinkley (husband Martin), Huntingdon, TN; sister Brenda Warren, Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren (with two more on the way) and four nieces. Friends will be received on Sun., April 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon at The Church of Jesus Christ, 4041 S. Skylark Terrace, Homosassa, where a Funeral Service of Remembrance will take place at 12:00 noon with Pastor Michael P. Herrin officiating.
