Gary Wayne Walker, 61, unexpectedly passed away June 8, 2023. Growing up in Kentucky, he eventually moved to Florida where he spent most of his adult life. Gary was a man of many skills and had a passion for trade work. He was highly skilled in multiple areas, some of which include construction, plumbing, mechanics, and flooring. After many years in the construction and plumbing world, he chose to take on the life of a handy man, allowing him to dabble in all the trades he enjoyed. When he wasn't fixing and building things, Gary was an avid fisherman with some of the best Grouper holes around. He spent over 25 years fishing in the Gulf and knew it like the back of his hand. He also enjoyed bowling, at which he was also highly skilled, and spent many years in leagues in town.
Gary was very personable, he was easy to talk to and always able to bring humor and fun into a room. He was a fierce and loyal friend, never afraid to defend what was right. He also had a deep love for those he cared for and he spent his life ensuring they never went without. He leaves behind his two daughters, Kelly (Jeff); and Alison, siblings, Lisa (Jason); Dennis; Pat; and Dwayne, and many more nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Bertha Walker, and former wife Sherry Walker. Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, FL. www.wilderfuneral.com
