

Gerald Grant “Jerry” Cohn, 85, of Homosassa, Florida, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at his home. A native of Bryan, Texas, he was born December 1, 1938 to John and Loyola (Nichols) Cohn, one of six children. Jerry, as he was known to many, was a retired operator and tester for Shell Oil Refinery in Deer Park, Texas, where he worked from 1975 to 1992, when he moved to Naples, Florida. Mr. Cohn lived in Naples for 18 years, then moved to Homosassa in 2010. Jerry was an avid sport fan and played football, basketball and baseball when he was young, then took up the game of golf when he was older. His perfect day would often include watching sports on television. In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his daughter Robin Junell and his son Joel Cohn, and his brothers Travis, John Bailey, James and Wayne. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Ladonna Sue Cohn of Homosassa; son Randall D. Cohn (wife Penny), of Spring, Texas; granddaughter Angie Lynn Davis (husband Lawrence), of Center, TX ; grandsons Jacob and Josh, both of Texas, and brother Kenneth Cohn (wife Dorothy), of Porter, Texas. An informal gathering of family and friends will take place on Sunday, June 2, 2024 at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, 4890 S. Suncoast Blvd., Homosassa, Florida from 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
