Ian Alexander Sutton-Brown, 87, of Inglis, FL, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at his home. A native of Kingston, Jamaica, he was born September 22, 1938 to Alexander and Marian (Richards) Sutton-Brown, one of four children. Ian moved here in 1989 from St. Petersburg, Florida and was a retired computer analyst for the Hernando County Government. Ian was an avid hunter and was a member of the Gulf Hammock Hunting Association in Levy County. He also had a passion for fishing, often spending eight or nine hours a day at it. Ian enjoyed hiking also, but when walking became more difficult for him, he would take his side-by-side out, blazing trails as he drove. Ian’s perfect day would include his favorite pastime of all, which was sailing; he loved to sail the waters of the Caribbean Region. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Donald Sutton-Brown. Ian is survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Sutton-Brown, Inglis, FL; three children: Steve Sutton-Brown (wife Kate), Hastings, MN; Debra Sutton-Brown and Dawn Cross, both of High Springs, FL; stepchildren Paul Flint (Brenda) and Patricia Flint, both of Torrington, CT; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; brother Robin Sutton-Brown (wife Jane), Texas and sisters Beverly Rees and G. Ann Sutton-Brown, both of Quebec, Canada, as well as special friends Mark and Allison Harrison, Inglis, FL. Care entrusted to Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida.
