

James M. Driscoll, Sr., 88, of Homosassa, passed away on Sun., Jan. 25, 2015 at Seven Rivers Regional Medical Center in Crystal River. A native of Yonkers, NY, he was born Aug. 31, 1926 to James and Mary (Schamwat) Driscoll and was a retired U.S. Postal worker with 37 years of service, encompassing post offices in Yonkers, NY; Cocoa Beach and Crystal River, Florida. Mr. Driscoll was a U.S Navy veteran of WWII and a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Army and was an American Legion member earlier in his adult life in Yonkers. Having moved to Homosassa in 1969, he has resided in Citrus County a great deal of his life. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Victoria A. Driscoll, Homosassa; son Douglas Driscoll (wife Cathy), Palm Harbor, FL; son James Driscoll, Jr. (wife Sandra) and son Edward Driscoll, both of Homosassa; former daughter-in-law Gloria Driscoll, Crystal River; brother Robert Driscoll (wife Helen), Scarsdale, NY; nephew Wayne Driscoll (wife Pam), Ft. Lauderdale, FL; grandchildren Dillon, Connor, Johnathan, Chris and Eddie Jr. and great grandchildren Gavin, Zelda and Silas. Friends will be received on Thurs., Jan. 29, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, with Pastor Alan Ritter officiating.
