Weaver, Joel Mitchell, age 38 of Weeki Wachee, FL passed away on March 20th 2018. Joel was born in Kansas City, MO to Michael T. and Kathy E. Weaver on June 8th, 1979. He was raised in Kansas City until age 14, when the family moved to Arkansas where Joel spent his high school years. He was a natural born athlete and enjoyed playing football, baseball, basketball and especially boxing. At age 18, Joel and his family moved to Spring Hill, FL. His passions included motorcycles, sports and working on cars. He will be remembered as a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He is described as a fun-loving jokester who had a special connection with animals and knack for connecting with people. Survivors include his parents, Michael T. Weaver and Kathy E. Weaver; brother, Michael Patrick Weaver Sr.; sisters, Salina Brozik, Angelia Weaver; brother-in-law, Frank Brozik; nephews, Blake Brown, Demetrius Garcia, Anthony Brozik, Michael Patrick Weaver Jr.; nieces, Maya Garcia, Marisa Garcia, Miranda Brozik, Franki Brozik, Allison Weaver; great-nephew, Grayson Garcia. Joel also leaves behind extended family in Kansas City, MO, Dallas/ Fort Worth, TX, and Nebraska. A Gathering of Friends and Family will be held on Saturday, March 31st from 2-4 p.m. at Wilder Funeral Home in Homosassa, FL. The Celebration of Joel’s life will begin at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 31st at Wilder Funeral Home.
