John R. McGowan, Jr., 82, of Homosassa, Fla. passed away Fri., May 11, 2012 while under the loving care of Hospice. John was a member of the Knights of Columbus for 53 years. John served in the U.S.M.C. as a sergeant and served during the Korean War. He is survived by sisters Betty Brennan and Marge Miller both of New Jersey and Ruth (Bob) Urig of Homosassa, Fla. A funeral mass will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, June 5 at St Thomas The Apostle Catholic Church in Homosassa with Fr. Ronald Marecki officiating. Inurnment will be in Florida National Cemetery.
