Kenneth E Leo

Kenneth E. Leo, 75, of Homosassa, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, A native of Cairns, Australia, he was born Nov. 19, 1943 to Emanuel and Lois (Pryor) Leo. Ken and his mother emigrated to the United States in 1950 and Ken was raised and educated in Worcester, MA attending the former North High School and Worcester Junior College. Mr. Leo proudly served America honorably in the National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves and was the proprietor of Mass Liquor Corp. in Worcester, MA for nearly two decades. He was also a former member of the Worcester County Board of Realtors and at one time owned many rental properties. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by a sister, Laurie Leo. He married his soulmate, the former Angela Masiello, in 1965 and recently celebrated 54 years of marriage. Ken has two beautiful daughters who survive him; Wendy Johnson (husband Charlie), Holden, MA and Michelle de Verbigier (husband Arnaud), Wilmington, MA , and three cherished grandchildren; Kevin Sweeney (wife Emily), E. Brookfield, MA. and Gabrielle and Sebastien de Verbigier, both of Wilmington, MA.; siblings Raymond Leo (wife Susan), Northboro, MA; Annette Broburg, Worcester, MA and Jennifer Leo, Charlton, MA and Cathy Partridge (husband Kenny), Charlton, MA. Ken was a man of many talents and passions. He loved woodworking; gazebos and decks were his specialty. He also owned and restored many classic muscle cars; he loved to read, especially history and documentaries; he also loved hiking; especially Mt. Monadnock in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Ken also was an avid basketball and Boston Celtics fan. His pursuit of his love of the game of golf in his senior years netted him two holes in one, one in New Hampshire and one in recent years at Southern Woods Golf Club as an active member of Southern Woods Mens Golf Association. Friends will be received on Thurs., May 9, 2019 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon at Wilder Funeral Home, where a celebration of Ken's life will begin at 12:00 noon, with Dr. Paul Hall officiating. Military honors will be rendered by the American Legion Post #155 of Crystal River, FL.
