Kenneth N. Manning, Sr., 65 of Homosassa, FL died Sat., June 4th, 2011 at HPH Care Center in Inverness. Born July 26, 1945 in Joliet, IL and moved to Homosassa in 2001 from Shorewood, IL. He retired from Nicor Gas Co. after 32 years of service as a pipeline technician. Kenneth was an Army veteran of Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a member of the Plainfield Methodist Church and the West Citrus Elks Lodge.
He was predeceased by his grandson at birth Kenneth; parents Bruce and Beulah Manning; brothers Donald and Harold; sister Virginia.
Survived by his wife of 42 years, Kathleen M. Manning of Homosassa; sons Ken N. Manning, Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL and Mark Manning (Diane) of Dade City, FL; mother-in-law Beverly Lance of Ocala, FL.
A memorial service will be held 2 p m, Tuesday, June 7th at Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa. Family will received friends Tuesday from 1 pm until the hour of service.
