Linda Sue Combs

Linda Sue Combs, 77, of Homosassa, FL, passed away on Mon., June 16, 2025. A native of Columbus, OH, she was born Feb. 17, 1948, the only child to Frank and Edna (Falley) Kennedy. Linda served her country honorably and proudly in the United States Air Force, both on active duty and in the Reserves, retiring as a Technical Sergeant, with 20 years of service. Linda moved to Homosassa 21 years ago from Xenia, Ohio and was of the Christian faith. Mrs. Combs was a member of American Legion Post #155 of Crystal River and was a charter member of the Citrus County Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, whom she served as Treasurer. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, her perfect days would include her passions for karaoke, horseback riding, ceramics and sewing. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alex Combs, on December 13, 2012, and a great granddaughter, Baby Linda. She is survived by her three children: Gidget Hensley and Melissa Collins, both of Xenia Ohio, and Richard Henson, Jr.; grandchildren Stephanie Shaw (Brandon) and Zachary Hensley (Krisheree), both of Xenia, Ohio; Dalton Collins Homosassa, Florida; Tricia Yazici (Trey), Homosassa, Florida and Alexandra Perry (Hunter), West Liberty, Kentucky; great grandchildren Laci, Washington Courthouse, Ohio; Tynlee and Denver, both of Xenia, OH; Eli, Tampa, Florida; Oaklee, Grayson and Callum, all of Homosassa, FL. Friends will be received on Sun., June 22, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at Macrini-Wilder Funeral Home, Homosassa, Florida, where a Celebration Of Life will take place on Mon., June 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Deacon Mark Manko officiating. Military Honors will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida at 1:30 P.M. with the United States Air Force and American Legion Post #155 rendering Honors.
